Swedish Kladdkaka – Sticky Chocolate Cake

Ok, lots of people have text and email me regarding the Swedish ”Kladdkaka”

Even if you don’t know what Kladdkaka means, you will fall in love with
this recipe.

Chocolate Sticky Cake is Sweden’s gift to all chocoholics. Rich,
fulfilling—and ready to eat within the hour, if you keep the ingredients
available. Because chocolate, like cooking, should never be complicated.

INGREDIENTS
2 eggs
1 1/3 cups sugar
1/2 cup cake or all purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 cup melted butter
4 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1 Tbsp. vanilla sugar (-or- substitute 1 tsp. vanilla extract)

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 20-22 min minutes

PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 175º. Lightly butter a round 8″ or 9″ springform or cake
pan.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt; set aside. Stir the eggs
into the sugar until smooth. Add the flour mixture, and stir just until
combined. Pour in the vanilla extract and butter; stir until well combined.
Pour into prepared pie plate.
Bake on the lower rack of the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the
center has slightly set. Allow cake to cool for 1 hour in the pie plate.
Serve warm, or refrigerate overnight and serve cold.
