She’s one of the best bikini fitness girls in the world, actually she won the Miss Bikini Olympia 2012!
Nathalia is not only a amazing, very beautiful woman on stage. She has also the latest years become a good friend of mine.
She’s not only a pretty face, she has an impressiv physique and SO cool personality.;)

As the bikini fitness sport is getting bigger than ever, even here in Sweden, I thought it could be time for some words and info directly from the biggest stars and inspirations we have from this category.

So here comes some questions to and answers from just Nathalia Melo:

1. How old are you?
30 Years young. LOL

2. When did you start workout in the gym?
I started weight lifting when I was 14yrs old.

3. When did you start compete in bikini fitness?
I started competing in 2009

4. When did you got your Pro Card? In 2010

5. Which competition has ment most to you in your career so far, and why? The Olympia 2012, when I won it. Words will never be able to describe the feeling of accomplishment I had on that day.

6. Who are YOUR biggest inspiration, if you have one?
I don’t have one person in specific. But, I am very inspired by fit moms and people who have a great weight loss the healthy way.

7. How does a normal training week, on diet, looks for you?
I train in average 4 hrs/day during contest prep. Many might say it is too much, but I like to step on stage knowing I have done everything I could, to be my best.

8. How does a normal ”food day”, on diet, looks for you?
I prefer having 4 bigger meals, than the normal bodybuilding style of 5 or 6 smaller meals throughout the day. I still have the same amount of calories I would have if I had more meals.

9. Which muscles are most important in bikini fitness?
The glutes are definitely VERY important for Bikini… work the tush, ladies! =p

10. Do you have any ”tip” for the girls who want to compete in bikini fitness?
I actually have 2:
– Everybody is different, so what works for your friend or for an athlete you look up to might not work for YOU. Make sure you are training for your body time and for your goals.
– Don’t ever let the result of a competition define who you are. Stay strong, and don’t give up.
